Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Intensive Care nurse to work as part of a research team responsible for developing and delivering a research portfolio of studies within the intensive care environment. The successful candidate will embrace the challenge of working in a highly demanding environment where excellent nursing, research skills and attention to detail are paramount. Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide specialist knowledge, skills and experience within clinical research,and act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels. The postholder will be able to autonomously plan, implement, organise and manage concurrent researchprojects. S/he will develop networks with Multidisciplinary Teams across the Trust and otherappropriate local and national agencies. S/he will coordinate and manage the relevant studyportfolio and deliver recruitment accrual in line with performance and monitoring objectives.

  • Mentorship experience/ qualification.
  • Proven Management/ Leadership experience or Qualification

  • Research methodology training; Higher degree/study of research design /methodology in clinical or social care setting or equivalent
  • Teaching qualification/ experience; Research Training (e.g. GCP, degree module, or other including informed consent
