Multi Skilled Officer - Car Parking

Job summary

  • The post holder will work as an integral part of the Facilities team ensuring a high quality service to patients, visitors and staff.
  • To support the delivery of a first class Parking Desk service & Parking Permit application system
  • To support the delivery of a customer focussed car parking service, including parking enforcement, zone management, barrier management
  • Delivering excellent customer care and undertakes the role in line with the vision and values of the organisation and display integrity, fairness exemplary personal behaviour and be a role model for other staff members

Main duties of the job

Work in partnership with the Operations Manager and Departmental supervision and management to contribute to the maintenance of a dynamic and proactive car parking service, to support the grounds maintenance team and security monitoring activities as required, ensuring the highest standards are met at all times.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  1. To participate in patrolling the cark parks sites as required and to ensure that the safety of the public is maintained and to undertake car park enforcement duties as required
  2. To participate in peak time barrier management as required
  3. To effectively manage drop-off zone management
  4. To support and cover colleagues on the parking desk
  5. To undertake cleaning of parking signs and equipment on any of the designated car parking areas
  6. To participate in the cash collection and counting from any of the designated parking areas
  7. To support the grounds maintenance team to manage weather-related duties, such as grit spreading and snow clearance
  8. To be responsible for maintaining the exterior cleanliness of the Hospital site, including litter picking, bin emptying sweeping of bicycle sheds, motorcycle sheds, waste/recycling compound, courtyards, light wells and car parks
  9. To support mobility services management if required and appropriately trained.
  10. To cover any duties of other colleagues within capability & for which trained, due to AL or absence.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as Priority and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
