Job summary
We are looking to appoint an StR Lower Doctor in Neurology and Stroke at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust to undertake 1 year fixed term position, with the possibility to extend. This post holder will work within the Neurology and Stroke Medicine team to provide comprehensive inpatient management for our wards. The post will be ideally suited to doctor with an interest in Neurology and Stroke.
Main duties of the job
The Neurology and Stroke team are looking for an individual to join the team and work closely with the clinical team across Merrivale and Hartor wards with consultant ward rounds conducted daily.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day care of inpatients under the care of your supervising consultants. You will be expected to provide support to the based consultants based on the wards, supporting with managing inpatients, completing TTA's and daily ward jobs.

- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues demonstrated by one of the following: o that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English; or o have achieved the following scores in the academic lnternational English Language Testing System (IELTS) in a single sitting within 24 months at time of application - Overall 7, Speaking 7, Listening 7, Reading 7, Writing 7.
