Job summary
As an Advanced Integration Engineer you willbe a Technical lead for the development andmanagement of integration services forUniversity Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust'sclinical and business systems ensuring thatall integration services are effectivelyplanned, specified, implemented andmaintained.
This role will support the Integration TeamManager with the project management of thefunctional areas identified above in relation toall IT projects undertaken by UHP and assistswith the planning and delivery of the OneDevon EPR programme, Integrated CarePartnership, ICS and other regional initiatives(e.g. Shared Care Record).This role is specialised in nature and the postholder is expected to be very knowledgeableand skilled in healthcare integrationstandards, protocols, development andtechnical management.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
o Complete all required Epic courses andcertifications.o Provides technical leadership within their functional area.o Manages the design and development ofthe Trust integration architecture usingthe latest technologies e.g IntersystemsHealthshare Health Connect, EpicBridges, XML and HL7.o Manages the day-to-day operation of theexisting integration architecture.o Participates in the development of newstrategic methods for informationdelivery using latest methodologies.o The post holder will be required tocommunicate externally with systemssuppliers, developers and NHS staff, aswell as internally with both ICT andclinical staff at all levels.o Supports the Integration Team Managerin the delivery of the One Devon EPRProgramme and the delivery of national IM&T initiatives.o To undertake other duties as designatedby the Integration Team Manager.o To manage the design, development andimplementation of new integrationarchitecture for the Plymouth HealthcareCommunity.o To manage the development of theintegration architecture including thetesting and implementation ofmodifications and enhancements.
