Job summary
- We are seeking an experienced and motivated Patient Services Manager to support our Operational Facilities Manager in driving both the strategic vision and daily operations of Hotel Services across Trust sites, with a particular focus on cleaning and patient catering services. In this key role, you will play a central part in the promotion, development, and management of these critical services, ensuring the highest standards of performance and stakeholder satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with team members and management to meet and exceed performance targets, contributing to a positive and effective working environment. The post holder is expected to be flexible with working hours when required to meet changing and competing service demands working 5 shifts per week over late evenings and nights.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
As the Patient Services Manager, you will:
- Provide operational leadership and support for all users of the Hotel Services function, delivering services with efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness.
- Lead, motivate, and support the Hotel Services team to ensure optimal service delivery, especially during evening and night hours.
- Deputise for the Facilities Operations Manager as needed, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Take responsibility for managing the evening and overnight workforce, ensuring that all outpatient departments and communal areas are fully serviced out of hours.
- Primarily manage operations on the Derriford Hospital site, with responsibilities that may extend to other community locations as required.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, promoting collaboration and communication.
