Job summary
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner looking to take the next step into senior leadership, and lead our Orthopaedic theatre and recovery team.
We are looking for individuals experienced in scrub or recovery, with excellent leadership skills who are looking for their next challenge.
Permanent and secondment opportunities will be considered, with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for managing nursing teams, clinical leadership, infection prevention and control, standards of patient care and the environment. They will be responsible for the performance management of the Theatre Unit and of key individuals in respect of the contribution to service delivery.
Orthopaedic trauma and Elective orthopaedics are in separate theatre units but the areas and the teams must work cohesively together, including shared out of hours trauma service - the successful candidate will be key in ensuring this.
