Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Performance Information Team who are seeking to appoint a Performance Information Analyst to extract data from the Trust's various information systems in order to analyse and present the data as information for performance/clinical/statistical purposes, and support the on-going design and development of new reporting systems and structures to meet the user's specification.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will havea key role in monitoring the Trust's performance against key national targets, andwill be required to actively inform Trust staff when unfavourable variances arise, in a timely manner, so that corrective action can be initiated.

Using specialist knowledge of NHS data, both internal and specific to the Trust, and external pertaining to national datasets and standards, the post-holder will give advice and guidance to users on the content of Information and interpretation in line with national and local guidelines.

The post-holder will have a demonstrable knowledge of the MS Office suite, Excel in particular, and an interest SQL and relational databases management systems.

  8. Complete ad-hoc information requests as tasked by senior members of the team.
  9. To assist in the training of all relevant staff in the use of management information in their respective roles.
  10. To understand the Information Governance rules pertaining to handling Personal Confidential Data.
