Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the development of the emerging South West Endoscopy and Physiological Sciences networks.

Working closely with network leads at NHS England and physiological scientists and endoscopy clinicians and managers from across the region, the post holder will support a range of projects on areas including Workforce, Digital, Data, Quality and Capital Planning.

The role will be based remotely, with some travel across the south west.

Secondments will be considered for this role.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job

To support the Physiological Sciences and Endoscopy Networks to achieve maximum benefits for patients, carers and staff by undertaking:

  • Data collection and analysis
  • Producing graphical summaries of information
  • Workshop planning
  • Project administration and reporting
  • Process mapping
  • Collection of actions from meetings
  • Managing multiple diaries and meetings

  • To support the robust planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of projects
  • Where identified to lead on the plan, manage, implement, and evaluate projects.
  • Maintain lists of all key project issues or risks
  • Support the Networks to undertake service reviews and working with multidisciplinary, interdepartmental, and cross-organisational teams to redesign processes and roles.
  • Have an understanding of the methodologies surrounding service improvement and project management and the application of them.
  • Ensuring implementation of best practice across both administrative and clinical pathways.
  • To lead on the collection and analysis of data ensuring accuracy and continual review of appropriateness.
  • Presentation of information in graphical summary (control charts etc).
  • To assist in the development and production of key performance indicators and ensure their delivery is timely and regular.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of projects, using Key performance Indicators (KPIs) to track benefits, communicating the KPIs to key stakeholders, and presenting the data in a meaningful way.

Desirable

  • OGC Managing Successful Project within a PRINCE Environment (practitioner level or equivalent demonstrable experience of methodology.)

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant previous demonstrable experience in an administrative role in the NHS
  • Proven demonstrable experience in organising, prioritising, and planning multiple tasks and associated workloads, with the objective of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to source, research and collate information / data
  • Demonstrable experience of working across organisational boundaries and with voluntary and service user groups.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable

  • Previous demonstrable experience of staff development and performance management.
