Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist with a specialist interest in virial hepatitis from the South West Peninsula Operational Delivery Network to provide strong Clinical leadership for the national Hepatitis C Elimination Programme

Main duties of the job

  • Provide strategic and clinical direction to the SWP ODN Hepatitis C Elimination goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professional work to identify, test, treat and cure patients with Hep C across the south west region
  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative elimination projects and delivery models to reach underserved populations and eliminate hepatitis C.
  • Collaborate closely with commissioners, public health authorities and other stakeholders to ensure the achievement of regional and national hep c elimination goals.
  • act as a regional and national expert voice, in promoting best clinical practices and participating in policy development.
