A 6-month Trust Doctor position (with potential for extension) will become available from August 2024 within our Cardiothoracic Surgery department. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a qualified junior doctor in their FY2, CT1, CT2, ST1, or ST2 year seeking to launch their career in this dynamic specialty.
Main duties of the job
This position is for a StR Lower in Cardiothoracic Surgery, on a fixed term contract for 6 months.
Collaborative working with an established team of Advanced Nurse Practitioner in managing ward-level care; and the pre-assessment of patients under guidance from Registrars and Consultants
Gain practical experience by assisting in cardiothoracic surgical procedures (where appropriate and whenever possible).
Actively participate in local audits, research initiatives, and departmental presentations.
Develop leadership skills through engagement with Quality Improvement Projects
