Additional subspecialty interests are welcomed. This is a replacement post based at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHPNT), primarily Derriford Hospital. The successful applicant will complement an existing team of 5 subspecialist radiologists sharing responsibility for provision of the diagnostic uroradiology service including MDTs. Teaching opportunities exist with Peninsula Radiology Training Programme and Peninsula Medical School.

The trust has received central funding as part of the Future Hospitals Programme (FHP) to develop a new wing opening September 2025 providing a Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care, Interventional radiology suites and emergency theatres, each having dedicated imaging facilities. Central funding is also secured for development of a fully NHS owned and operated Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) with 2 CT, 2 MR, 2 plain film and 4 ultrasound suites providing diagnostic services in the centre of Plymouth. This is due to open in September 2025 and will provide dedicated consultant office and reporting space in a purpose-built city-centre environment.

This is an exciting time to join UHPNT in light of the large-scale development happening across the Derriford Hospital site and beyond, which will bring with it new facilities for diagnostics, intervention, and reporting spaces and bring imaging at UHPNT into the 21st century.
