Job summary
The post holder will have a key role in leading the initial steps of this journey, working to support the submission of a Full Business Case (FBC) and lead the EPR procurement process, as well as managing project resources across the digital care and innovation environment to ensure long term delivery and project effectiveness.
They will provide expert project management as well as co-ordinating various delivery workstreams such as clinical pathway improvement, digital, service, people, and culture transformation, making a significant contribution in developing the digital maturity of the organisation. They will provide effective support for the multi-disciplinary EPR Programme Team including all aspects of management and personal development for both professional and technical staff.

Main duties of the job
- Ensuring alignment of activity with Integrated Care System (ICS) Digital Transformation Strategy and Digital and Innovation (D&I) Services Strategy
- Management of projects to deliver the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and support any further development of the D&I Services business strategy.
- Co-ordinating the delivery of business cases to meet national and regional guidance, ensuring that any changes in approach or requirements can be addressed and reflected in the plan.
- Managing and delivering complex projects and project stages with conflicting and competing pressures on the workload and the team including dealing with the mixed expectations of customers.
- Successful management and integration of EPR activity including the D&I Services tactical plan, regional initiatives and those identified through the National Networks
- Stakeholder management and the ability to gain credibility and confidence of multidisciplinary staff throughout the process, including Boards and clinical staff.
- Managing and controlling the scope of projects in a fast-changing health environment.
- Management, co-ordination, and motivation of a multi-disciplinary project team of 5 - 35 staff, including clinicians, nursing staff, support staff, voluntary workers, suppliers, IT experts, and contractors.

1. Project Delivery
- Initiate projects, as directed by the Digital Programme Manager, Head of Digital Project Delivery and the Head of Digital PMO Service and assess them for feasibility.
- Identify, analyse, and document the project requirements with the clients and undertake an impact analysis to feed into service changes required after project delivery.
- Identify, in conjunction with clients, the benefits to be realised by meeting the project requirements, and the key success factors to be used to measure the project.
- Manage several concurrent projects, as assigned by the Head of Digital Project Delivery, in a variety of customer areas and across different disciplines, ensuring effective and regular communication at all levels with all interested parties.
- Co-ordinate and manage internal and external parties to ensure their effective involvement in change management, according to the policies of the customer organisations, project delivery and ongoing service.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout, such that each project deliverable is fit for purpose and meets its documented requirement.
- Define project risk parameters and escalate to Programme Boards where necessary, instigating contingency plans where appropriate.
- Create, direct, and motivate representative project teams, schedule and monitor their work.
- Ensure co-ordination of suppliers, staff, patients and/or support groups, engendering enthusiasm, and commitment.
- Define quality standards and coordinate responses to any stakeholder engagement or procurement activities.
- Work with appropriate Clinical Leadership and operational and support teams to ensure a smooth handover of the project or the business and ensure that the support departments are included agreeing support processes and procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) where necessary.
