Job summary

The development of accessible pathways into healthcare careers is a key part of our People Plan and this fixed-term post will support the Trust in delivering apprenticeship and other work based learning priorities across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

This role will support the Apprenticeship and Personal Development Leads in developing an effective programme of work based learning opportunities both for our local education institutions and for the wider community.

The successful applicant will be confident, with excellent communication skills, in order to gain engagement and involvement from stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external to the Trust.

They will also develop effective governance processes, ensuring we are compliant with our regulatory obligations, and that we are providing the best experience for our learners, whilst benefitting our services. Accuracy and an eye for detail are key to this

Job description

Job responsibilities

  1. Responsible for working with the Learning and OD Team and key stakeholders to support in the project set up, development and project management of Learning and OD projects and interventions for example pathways to employment, careers, work placements and mandatory training.

  1. Support, facilitate and monitor progress of Learning and OD Projects/Interventions to ensure a timely and efficient service at all times.
  1. Provide professional advice, support and coach to line management in the effective use of learning and OD tools and systems ensuring line managers are able to implement and understand the importance of pro-active management to ensure alignment with Trust strategic objectives

  1. Required to work independently and on own initiative within broad guidelines whilst supported by manger.

  1. Manages own workload

  1. To support the Learning and OD Team with the development and implementation of activities relating to the relevant People Plan building blocks within the Trust

  1. To support the Learning and OD Leads to plan and design relevant specialist training/workshops aligned to the People Plan to staff across the organisation, at all levels

  1. To make proposals on key HR policies

  • Support the Learning and OD team with effective communication and engagement with all staff across the organisation to understand key issues and problem

  1. Communicate complex, sensitive and contentious information to senior management about projects and interventions as required.
