Job summary
The Estates Department at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Estates Officer to work as part of the engineering team delivering a diverse range of mechanical projects, compliance and assurance for the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team delivering positive improvements to the Healthcare Estate and providing a safe and compliant environment for patients, staff and visitors.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
Main duties of the job
Responsible for providing a specialist Mechanical service to the organisation; undertakes project management in specialist field, where appropriate
Ensures compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, technical guidance; develops policies in specialist field and ensures their implementation
Provides training in specialist field, as appropriate; may supervise staff in specialist field.
Contribute to the update of the Schedule of Engineering Systems.
