These unique posts spend 60% of time in ED and 40% of the time in the PHEM role working with the well-established Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT). DAAT has two emergency helicopters and two Critical Care Cars to be able to deliver expert critical care to patients wherever they may be.
Main duties of the job
Your base clinical work will be at Derriford Emergency Department. You will be expected to work on the middle grade tier in the department and provide the relevant expertise and experience necessary to ensure the efficient primary management of emergency cases. You will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team and work alongside other team members to manage the department workload. You will also be expected to provide supervision to the junior members of the team. This means you will have at least 3 years experience following completion of your Foundation Years, at least one year of which will be in Emergency Medicine.
