Job summary
This service is provided to approximately 10 internal storerooms and numerous clinical theatres and departments within Derriford Hospital. The internal Theatres team are responsible for the ordering and stowing of a wide range of medical and other consumable items, ensuring nursing staff always have the correct product they require for treating patients close at hand. All transactions and expenditure is processed through the Trusts inventory system Genesis.
Will require Full driving Licence (3.5t Van) as an essential.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS at Risk staff throughout Devon who is able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification
Main duties of the job
To provide an ordering and stowing service for medical and other consumables stock items used within The Main Theatre & other Storeroom within Derriford Hospital.
To replenish, receipt, issue and stow stock using Genesis system.
Pick and deliver by hand to all surrounding clinical areas for patient care, as per agreed schedule to meet service line demands.
To provide administrative and clerical support to the Theatres Management Supervisor and Senior Supply Chain Supervisor, ensuring agreed service levels are maintained and delivered
