STAFF NURSE - Band 5 LOCATION - Honeyford Respiratory Ward HOURS - Full Time/Part Time (Internal Rotation)

We require an RN, for the post of Band 5 Nurse, on Honeyford Ward, Respiratory Medicine.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic staff nurse to join our nursing team on Honeyford Ward. Honeyford Ward is a busy 29 bedded Respiratory Ward incorporating 4 level 1 beds.

We aim to provide a friendly and professional working environment, whilst delivering a high standard of care to our patients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated staff nurse that can display good management skills and be prepared to take on a challenge.

You must be prepared to complete additional training/competencies as required.

This staff nurse must be forward thinking and dynamic in their approach to change.

They must demonstrate a desire to deliver high quality patient centred care and develop the nursing team.

You must be compassionate, kind, caring, committed to becoming a respiratory nurse and have a good sense of humour. Respiratory training will be provided and ongoing support.

Main duties of the job

JOB PURPOSE:

  1. Under the direction of the Nurse-in-Charge you will co-ordinate, and deliver effective quality nursing care by assessing the needs, planning, implementing & evaluating the care for a group of patients.
  2. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Following a period of Preceptorship take responsibility for the supervision of Health Care Assistants and other learners.

PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
