Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our friendly Bickleigh team. Bickleigh is a busy 26 bedded interventional cardiology ward specialising in telemetry beds and also caring for patients with arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes and valve disease.

We are looking for a Junior Sister who always strives for excellence and wants to be part of a team that values continuous improvement and growth. We aim to provide a friendly and professional working environment, whilst delivering high standards of care to all our patients.

This is a great opportunity to develop clinical skills and experience as well as management skills in a fast-paced acute cardiology ward. You will have the opportunity to provide specialist care for patients with a variety of cardiology conditions, whilst working with an exceptionally supportive and positive team. We are passionate about education and have in house cardiology study days and competencies to achieve.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS at Risk staff throughout Devon who is able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate the ability to lead a team, lead under pressure and provide high standards of care, whilst meeting the trust values. You will be expected to support the Ward Manager and Junior Sisters with management duties. Cardiac experience is desirable but not essential.

6 month Secondment, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
