Are you an experienced Respiratory and Sleep Associate or Assistant looking for your next role?

You'll be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team delivering a range of routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across Respiratory and Sleep Physiology, including Physiologist- and Scientist-led CPAP and Sleep Clinics.

We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and able to organise and prioritise their workload while working flexibly as part of a team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital, and our new Community Diagnostic Centre at Mansfield Community Hospital, helping us deliver high-quality services across the Trust.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Spirometry certificate (ARTP) and be on register
  • Level 4 Healthcare Science or equivalent
  • Good Computer literacy skills
  • Competencies acquired in: o Spirometry & Reversibility studies oCapillary Blood Gases oWalk tests oLung Function oCPAP annual reviews
  • Basic Life Support

Desirable

  • Successful completion of ARTP Associate exam Level I
  • ARTP Overnight Pulse Oximetry Certificate
  • ARTP CPAP Certificate (associate/introductory level)
  • CAVA (assessor Qualification or equivalent)
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
  • Immediate Life Support

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in performing specialised investigations within Respiratory & Sleep Physiological Science
  • Clear Communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in delivering training

Further Training

Essential

  • Committed to Continued Professional Development and maintain accurate record of evidence

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Relevant theoretical/practical/technical knowledge to underpin the investigative procedures undertaken within the department
