Experience

Essential

  • Completion of IAC and IACOA
  • Ability to provide anaesthesia for ASA 1 and 2 patients with distant supervision
  • Appropriate experience and competencies requisite to all aspects of the job description

Desirable

  • Experience in working in an NHS District General Hospital or equivalent
  • Experience of working in Critical Care
  • Advanced Life Support

Qualifications

Essential

  • MBBS.
  • Full registration (and with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • 2 years or more experience in Anaesthesia including ICU
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Current UK experience

Research

Essential

  • Understanding of the principles of audit, quality improvement and clinical governance.

Desirable

  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Completion of audit / quality improvement projects

Other

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to organise and manage priorities
  • Professional attitude to work
