Job summary
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are looking to recruit a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Urgent and Emergency Care Therapy Team. The team work in a fast paced environment, preventing admissions to the hospital, supporting with complex discharges and working within the Frailty Intervention Team. The team covers the Emergency Department, Emergency Assessment Unit and the Short Stay Ward. Within your role you will support Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, be a student educator, complete supervision with the Band 5 OTs and help with the day to day running of the team. You will be encouraged to work on service development projects as we strive to continually improve the team for the patients, the service we provide and for the team. The team covers a seven day service, working between 8-7. There is an expectation that everyone will work a weekend a month and their fair share of the bank holidays throughout the year.
