Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and skilled Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly cardiovascular team. Our service provision covers invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. The successful candidate will haveA good knowledge of non invasive Cardiac diagnostics and would be wanting to increase their knowledge of Specialist Cardiology diagnostics culminating in working toward the BSE or BHRS (or equivalent).
In non invasive cardiology the candidate would be autonomous in all aspects of Ambulatory monitoring, Tilt table and Exercise testing. Be confident in ECG and able to teach the lower grades. Having the SCST certificate or diploma would be an advantage
In invasive Physiology the candidate will be expected to work in the catheter lab doing LHC, RHC and PCI with Pressure wire and working towardsOCT, IVUS, Rotablation and Shockwave; Pacing implantation including Pacing, and working towards ICD, CRT and Left Bundle Branch area pacing including follow up clinics both Remote and Face to face.
Main duties of the job
In Echo Physiology the candidate would be expected to learn how to do an Echo to the BSE standards while being fully supervised.
The candidate will be encouraged to try both specialities before deciding which to specialise in. The department has a great track record for training from post degree to professional examinations with a great supportive network.
The department is open during the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with the Staff working a compressed 4 day week. This post will also include managerial responsibilities to the junior staff.
