Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a well-organised individual with excellent communication skills to join our team as a Housekeeper. This pivotal role involves coordinating all facilities services within the ward area and working alongside the clinical team to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial part in delivering excellent care and contributing to the overall patient experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
You will be working in a dynamic healthcare setting, where you will collaborate with a variety of professionals to support the daily operations of the ward. The Housekeeper ensures that all non-clinical services are effectively managed, enabling the clinical team to focus on patient care without disruption.You will also be actively involved in maintaining infection control standards, ensuring that all facilities meet the required guidelines for safety and cleanliness.
Main duties of the job

Co-ordinate all facilities services within the department, ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and comfortable.

Work closely with the Ward Leader and Matron to deliver key National Standards, such as Essence of Care, National Standards of Cleanliness, and PEAT Standards.

Adhere to infection control principles and contribute to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety across the ward.

Ensure all areas meet the national standards required, including Essence of Care, National Standards of Cleanliness, and PLACE standards.

Support the clinical team in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
