Clerical Officer

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The closing date is 01 May 2025

Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and professional Clerical Officer to join our Sterile Services Department, a vital area within our organisation that plays a critical role in infection prevention and patient safety. This position is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As a Clerical Officer, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department. You will be at the heart of departmental operations--handling enquiries, maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence, and ensuring the efficient processing of key documentation.

This is a customer-facing role, requiring frequent interaction with internal colleagues and external partners. As such, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You'll be a key point of contact, supporting departmental leadership while also assisting with important tasks such as data collection, recruitment coordination, and minute-taking.

Your contribution will directly support the Sterile Services team in delivering a high-quality, responsive service to all users across the hospital and beyond. This is a great opportunity to become part of a professional team in a supportive working environment, where attention to detail and commitment to service excellence are highly valued.
