An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, visionary Consultant Midwife to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospital.
The role of the consultant midwife is to provide expert clinical care and leadership within the maternity service. By working in collaboration with the Head of Midwifery, Clinical Director and wider perinatal senior team, the Consultant Midwife will ensure there is effective leadership, education and training, practice and service development and research/evaluation within the maternity service.
The successful candidate will be an expert, autonomous practitioner of midwifery, a role model for midwives, a lead for midwifery research and practice development, and a reference for multi-professional colleagues. The Consultant Midwife will function as an expert midwifery advisor internally and externally.

- In depth understanding of maternity and neonatal national agendas
- Portfolio of evidence to demonstrate significant achievement in maternity care particularly with regards to leading service redesign
