Main duties of the job

Main Duties include:

  • Assisting the planning and delivery of the Trainee Pharmacist foundation year programme within the Trust.
  • Developing newly qualified pharmacists and supporting them in undertaking a post graduate qualification such as the clinical diploma.Effectively contributing to the training of pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.
  • Acting as a professional role model and mentor in clinical pharmacy practice to trainees and newly qualified pharmacists / technicians.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge gained through a Pharmacy degree equivalent to a Masters level knowledge.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD + learning
  • Mandatory training requirements of all relevant professional bodies.

Desirable

  • Experience of teaching pharmaceutical knowledge to other pharmacy staff

Qualifications

Essential

  • A Pharmacy degree i.e. equivalent to Master levels knowledge.
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy gained through post-graduate study or equivalent experience including the CPPE Primary care pharmacy education pathway

  • Post-graduate studies
  • Leadership qualification
