Job summary
We are currently seeking to recruit a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an interest in Urogynaecology to join the Women and Children's Division at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a 12 month fixed term basis.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join a team of fifteen Consultants providing services to the local population within Mansfield and Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood. The successful candidate will provide support and development in our urogynaecology service as well as further development of the perinatal pelvic health service. The appointment will help to continue to provide excellent intrapartum care, support and training within the on call component of the post, meeting the requirements of CNST as well as the Ockenden report.

Essential
- Full GMC Registration
- Relevant CCT or equivalent ('equivalence' must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist registration
- Advanced Labour Ward Practitioner ATSM
Desirable
- Urogynaecology ATSM or equivalent experience
- An additional ATSM that would complement the existing skills within the department
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
Experience
Essential
- Extensive experience in obstetrics and gynaecology
Teaching
Desirable
- MOET or PROMPT instructor
- Evidence of training for teaching role
- Education Supervisor training
Management
Desirable
- Experience of admin e.g. rota organisation
- Evidence of MDT experience
