Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking to appoint a compassionate, enthusiastic and flexible Breast Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated and skilled team.

You'll provide high-quality physical and psychological care throughout the patient journey - from diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. Your role will also include acting as a resource for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care.

In this role, you will lead nurse-led follow-up clinics, perform clinical examinations and make clinical decisions in line with the multidisciplinary team. You will also be a key figure in counselling patients and their families, providing them with crucial information and emotional support during what can be a difficult time.

As part of a forward-thinking team, you will be expected to implement service improvements and ensure the smooth delivery of care through policy development, adherence to procedures and active involvement in training and mentoring staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a leadership role in an environment that values compassion, expertise and a holistic approach to patient care.
