Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Apprentice in the Rostering Services Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable experience in a healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will provide a full range of computerised and clerical administrative support to the Rostering Services Department and deliver flexible, high-quality staffing and administrative resources to various wards and departments within King's Mill Hospital.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of administration and HR work procedures and practices, some of which are non-routine in nature
  • Knowledge of the relevant procedures, plus knowledge of how to deal with related non-routine activities, such as answering queries, progress chasing, task-related problem solving.
  • Knowledge of specialised IT systems, with the ability to problem solve to answer system queries effectively

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good standard general education to GCSE level.
  • ECDL or willingness to work towards
  • RSA / NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience

Further Training

Essential

  • Vocational Level 3 or equivalent experience

Experience and Responsibility

Essential

  • Previous clerical experience
  • Previous customer care experience
  • Computer literate, with previous experience of using a keyboard
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • Experience of updating IT systems to ensure information is accurate and up to date

Desirable

  • Previous experience of using Allocate Systems

  • Regular attendance and willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
