Job summary

Newark Hospital is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated group that takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care.

The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.To provide a high quality service to support the SFHT Patient Pathway and the Patient Pathway Coordinators, by ensuring the location, appropriate preparation and tracking of clinic documentation to help ensure the smooth running of clinics.To provide a clinical typing service, when required, to the Consultants and their teams within the Trust when requested by the Patient Pathway Coordinator.To follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) which describe how the functions of this role will be carried out along with the timescales that will be adhered to.To work as part of the team providing cover for colleagues during sickness and annual leave where appropriate.

Essential

  • Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills

Desirable

  • Medical Terminology
  • Working knowledge of PAS and the NHS in general

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • European Computer Driving License
  • RSA II or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience of working within an office environment
