Job summary

The post holder will play an integral role in the team, providing project support to assist in the successful implementation of building surveys and audits being delivered by the Capital Projects Team.

To act as a client liaison officer and project coordinator for multiple estates-based surveys, such as fire, space, energy, scoping and audits for capital refurbishment construction projects to enable a portfolio of projects are planned, managed, and effectively delivered, while providing high quality support, including information and analysis, communications, and stakeholder management.

Support and ensure all databases, records, reporting systems, reports are maintained and up to date with live project information.

The post is based at our Kings Mill Hospital Site in Mansfield and will occasionally involve travel between our Community Hospital site, also in Mansfield and the Newark General Hospital site in Newark.

This role has a primary focus on enabling our Trust to achieve our vision of "healthier communities and outstanding care for all"

Main duties of the job

Support the team to ensure projects and surveys are planned, managed, and delivered affectively

Support and inform the co-ordination, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of estates-based surveys and audits by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications, and stakeholder management.

To be responsible for ensuring that all user briefings are carried out in a fashion that ensures the required surveys are well planned and managed causing minimal disruption to the end users and stakeholders.

To be responsible for managing budgets & procurement-based tasks relevant to the external bodies involved in the delivery and management of the surveys to ensure that financial targets are met, and that projects are carried out fully in accordance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and Standing Orders.

To include monthly reporting to The Head of Estates & Facilities in respect of financial performance and cashflow projections.

To be responsible for ensuring that the survey outputs are in line with the Trusts requirements and delivered in a timely, manageable fashion.

Essential

  • Ability to provide and exchange project related information on a range of related issues to all levels of stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience of construction process, procedure, legislation including planning and compliance regulations
  • Developed communication and interpersonal skills whether written, verbal, or electronic with the ability to build and demonstrate collaborative relationships and behaviours
  • Demonstrable problem-solving capability with ability to maintain a flexible and collaborative approach.

Desirable

  • Suitable IT skills i.e CAD, Microsoft office including Project, AutoCAD and BIM software knowledge and implementation experience
  • Good working knowledge of HTM's, HBN's and other NHS guidance.
  • Previous knowledge of the NHS and/or project delivery within the NHS
  • Understanding of contractual partnership working.
  • Commercial/quantity surveying experience

Qualifications

Essential

  • Project Management Experience and/or adequate Project Management qualification to Level 4.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Standard Keyboard Skills

Desirable

  • Health and Safety training, qualification and/or experience e.g NEBOSH certificate and/or construction safety
  • Qualification in a project management methodology such as PRINCE2 or a programme methodology such as MSP.
  • Suitable IT skills i.e. CAD, Microsoft office including Project, AutoCAD and BIM software knowledge and implementation experience

  • Effective management of programmes and budget.
