Job summary

The Trust's Communications team is looking to recruit its first Digital Communications Specialist to join 'Team SFH' on its exciting digital journey, where the successful candidate will work alongside clinical colleagues to ensure that the information provided across our digital platforms matches the outstanding care provided by our hardworking colleagues.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a great knowledge and passion for digital media and digital marketing.

The right candidate will have a strong grasp of current thinking around the most effective use of digital channels, know how to deliver great digital content in-line with web accessibility requirements, and make good use of social media.

As well as being responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust's digital platforms, the successful candidate will be responsible for training Trust colleagues to make great digital content happen. They will also work alongside the Trust's technical web developers to continuously develop and maintain the Trust's digital communication platforms.

  • Significant experience of managing digital communications channels for large audiences in a complex organisation, including experience of developing and editing content for websites and other digital channels.
  • Experience of how to lead and execute effective digital communications campaigns and projects.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the application of Public Sector Accessibility Regulations and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) that ensure the accessibility of digital content.
  • Significant experience of writing consistently high-quality messaging for online audiences.
  • Significant experience of updating website and intranet content using Content Management Systems.
  • Understanding of effective use of design and graphic design in relation to communications channels.
