Job summary

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Clinical Audit Assistant to join our Cancer Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established service that supports the Trust's cancer teams. The data aids the clinical management of the patients and informs progress against the national cancer outcome and audit targets. This post is to support the services with high quality data collection, abstraction and presentation to support patient pathways and future service developments.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the Clinical Audit Assistant - Cancer is to collect and validate data from various sources efficiently and preparing reports paying close attention to detail ensuring best quality data returns at all times.

Applicants must possess a sound basic education to GCSE level or equivalent with evidence to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work within a team framework
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
  • Knowledge of clinical audit
  • A desire to increase personal skills
