As Programme Manager for Public Facing Digital Services (PFDS), you will play a pivotal role in empowering end users through the effective utilisation of IT systems and information. This involves leading the implementation of digital project workstreams, system upgrades and new system and functionality rollout. An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 post, initially for an 18-month fixed term contract, on a full-time basis, supporting Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service and Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust in the role of Programme Manager for Public Facing Digital Services.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the PFDS Programme Manager include;

  • Being an advocate and driver for service and business improvement using Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)
  • Be the professional leader for ICT and its use and exploitation across the Local Health Community
  • Ensure partnership working with other service lines within NHIS and the Sherwood's Digital Transformation Teams
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of projects and programmes to customer organisations
  • Work closely with the local health economy and other partners to identify opportunities for closer working and integration of ICT strategy where it is in our mutual interest
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement, quality improvements and efficiencies within the Public Facing Digital Services programme.
  • Communicate the status of projects and programmes to key stakeholders
  • Identify business and clinical issues and problems that may benefit from a technology or service solution
  • Monitor performance of projects and programmes within the PFDS programme and ensure the appropriate corrective action is taken when deviations from plan, quality and finance occurs.
  • Provide information, advice and support across the PFDS Programme in order to facilitate the modernisation of services, ensuring that they are consistent with legislation, and agreed local and national IT, innovation and productivity strategies.
  • Support the development and implementation of a major management of change programmes.

  • Significant experience of delivering complex projects using the PRINCE2 methodology

  • Production of Information Strategies/Business Cases/Options Appraisals
  • Experience in the development and management of service line standard operating procedures
  • Experience managing complex and sensitive programmes and projects that require significant clinical and executive engagement for success

  • Sound Digital skills in word processing, spread-sheet, presentation and email software
