Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic analyst to join the Trust's busy Business Insight Team, coordinating the provision of insight and analysis around Elective Care.
This is an exciting time to work in Information Services within Sherwood Forest Hospitals, who are embarking on a major programme of transformation with the implementation of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR). This will enable them to exploit the transformation opportunities brought with digitisation, ensuring an excellent level of care and safety for all patients. It will also ensure that divisions are able to maximise their available resources.
This team leader role within the insight workstream of Information Services will coordinate the provision of insight and analysis around Elective Care, supporting the Trust in the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care.
We can support home working after initial training for the successful candidate. We will also support flexibility around working patterns wherever possible
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the department's provision of insight and analysis specifically around elective care. This will involve working closely with the Elective Care Team and ensuring that the information needed to plan and deliver timely elective care is met with high quality data. The post holder will have an in-depth specialist knowledge of NHS information flows and performance indicators. They will play a key role in supporting operational managers to understand patient flow within the Trust.

They will be skilled in producing documentation to a professional high standard and to tight deadlines, will show initiative and self-motivation and will have excellent interpersonal skills, given the need to pro-actively support senior managers and clinicians through their analytical skills and knowledge of NHS information, performance, and planning frameworks.
