We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual with exceptional communication and organisational skills. We are looking for someone who is eager to empower end users in the use of IT systems, be that via day-to-day training on Clinical and Admin systems, or via the implementation of project workstreams such as system upgrades and new system rollouts. We are a collaborative team, working across different local organisations to achieve shared goals, ultimately to provide the highest level of patient care possible. The role requires exceptional time management and organisational skills due to the multiple work streams and managing staff working across multiple sites.

The post is Full time 37.5 hours a week (Mon - Fri) working within the Project Implementation and Training Team. We have adapted a hybrid working approach so the ability to work from our 2 bases - Byron Court at Arnold/Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield and home working is an essential requisite of the role.

Main duties of the job

  1. To ensure master implementation and training plans are produced and that activities are appropriately scheduled in accordance with project timescales.
  2. Ensure an appropriate lead is allocated to projects and monitor that all training activities and documentation is conducted to plan.
  3. Be responsible for reporting to the responsible manager in relation to the implementation and training strategy for training related issues.
  4. Liaise with the appropriate project leads to ensure risks and issues are identified in relation to implementation and training activities on projects.
  5. Assists the Digital Workforce Development Manager to ensure that the implementation and training function is fully embedded into NHIS service delivery, highlighting any areas for improvement and making suggestions about service delivery
  6. To lead and line manage the Implementation and Training Team as required by Digital Workforce Development Manager ensuring that the appropriate skills and knowledge are in place across the teams to ensure appropriate coverage.
  7. Will take responsibility for the defined implementation and training related activities as agreed with the Project Business Change Specialists.
  8. Provide advice and guidance around the changes in processes and procedures required to implement the project deliverables.
  9. To work under the direction of the project team to ensure project plans are implemented effectively and operational issues are identified and resolved.

We supply digital services including Infrastructure Management, Cyber Security, a full range of 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line Technical Support Services, along with Professional and Transformation services including Project Management & Training teams. NHIS are a shared service hosted by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SFHFT) supporting Health and Care organisations across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS). We work collaboratively with our partner & customer organisations to help deliver their digital & transformational initiatives & strategies, providing expertise and knowledge gained through years of experience. We provide support to over 13,000 users at nearly 800 sites with around 150 internal dedicated staff.

About our Business UnitThis role sits within the Strategy and Delivery Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of NHIS. The main objective of the Strategy and Delivery SBU is the delivery of digital Transformation, project support and business change aligned to local and National digital Strategies. We support digital transformation on all levels, from end-to-end delivery of new digital systems, processes, and functionality as well as routine upgrades and training on existing digital systems, we aim to ensure the continuation of normal service with minimal business impact to our customers.
