Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Biomedical Scientist who is professional, reliable, and adaptable to join our Cellular Pathology team at this busy NHS Foundation Trust.

The appointee will work within the Histopathology department at King's Mill Hospital, rotating through sections including routine Histopathology, Non-gynae Cytology, Andrology, and Immunohistochemistry. Occasional travel to Newark Hospital, housing our satellite laboratory, will be required.

Our primary objective is to deliver exceptional healthcare to our patients and communities through personal dedication and continuous improvement.

The Department holds full UKAS accreditation and HCPC/IBMS training status, actively supporting CPD participation. Presently, the laboratory operates on weekdays, but candidates should be flexible to work 3 out of 7 days per week if necessary. Remuneration follows the Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

Main duties involve rotation through sections covering routine Histopathology, Diagnostic Cytology, Andrology, and Immunohistochemistry.

You will be situated within the UKAS 15189:2012 accredited Pathology Department at King's Mill Hospital with HCPC/IBMS training status. The department is actively forging collaborative partnerships with neighboring Trusts, marking an exciting phase as we enhance our continuous improvement culture to ensure exceptional healthcare delivery for our patients.
