Job summary
A full time Consultant is required and will be based at King's Mill Hospital in Sutton in Ashfield.
This appointment is a permanent post to sustain existing and future demand in Mansfield & Ashfield, Newark & Sherwood and rural Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidates will be a 'generalist with a special interest model' of placing ward based acute and sub-acute ward based general internal medicine as a core function while maintaining a specialty interest. The candidate will be welcomed into a well organised department providing a wide range of services in ward based General Internal Medicine. We work collaboratively and supportively together and are always looking to improve the care for our patients.
The timetable and job plan will include leading the multi-disciplinary board rounds and ward rounds, daytime on calls, participation in appropriate MDT and team/service meetings.
During their non-clinical sessions, you will be expected to be active and contribute implementation and lead the service improvements.

- Provide weekend consultant cover
- Participate with General Internal Medicine (GIM) rota
- Contribution to service improvements
- Support trainees / clinical development fellows
- Active participation in audit and clinical governance
