Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join our team within the Dermatology Department as a Waiting list Co-ordinator.

Main duties of the job

The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will provide an effective and efficient clerical Waiting List service to patients referred to the Dermatology team, ensuring that accurate waiting list information is maintained at all times. This will involve the cultivation and maintenance of good relationships with appropriate consultants and other health service employees. All of the following tasks will be carried out in accordance with the Trust's Access Policy.

They will also ensure that all patients are swiftly placed on the appropriate Waiting List and that particular attention is given to urgency and procedure involved, thereby ensuring that patients are allocated appropriate admission details.

Essential

  • Computer literate, with experience of using a keyboard with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of NHS or service provider in general.
  • RSA II, ECDL, NVQ 3 or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets ie PAS, Excel or similar applications.

Desirable

  • Sound office clerical background.

  • Good general education with GCSE English at grade C or above equating to NVQ 2 or equivalent work experience
