Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to take on the leadership of Sconce Ward at Newark Hospital.
Sconce ward is a 32 bedded unit which focusses on rehabilitation and social care as well as Sub acute medicine. Our patients are from both medical and surgical wards once deemed medically fit for discharge. We pride ourselves in effective, safe discharge planning and work strongly as a multi disciplinary team.
The ward is currently receiving outstanding feedback from friends and family and our team work extremely hard in the delivery of patient care.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic in taking on a role of a well established team, will have a passion for geriatric medicine alongside making good clinical decisions to ensure the quality of our patient care is upheld.
They will need a forward thinking approach working alongside a multi disciplinary led team. Ideally experienced in rehabilitation and the services that we hold in the community would be an advantage, however a sound knowledge and experience of safe discharge planning would be appropriate.
