Job summary

Admin Apprentice - Working within the Project Implementation and Training Team (studying towards a Business Admin Level 3 Qualification) - Duration 18 Months

To provide a confident, friendly, and efficient administrative service within Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS). Working within the Project Implementation and Training Team you will support the team with their admin tasks and support the Team Leader and Junior Trainer with the co-ordination of all training related activities. This will include the scheduling of training, diary management and liaising with our customers and the team over the telephone and via Email, You will also assist the Digital Workforce Development Manager with the Work experience programme, Degree Apprenticeships, Careers delivery programmes and supporting NHS careers events at local schools and colleges.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide general office and administration support services
  • To undertake general office duties, for example, answering the telephone, taking messages, filing, photocopying, Diary Management using Outlook to book and amend meetings and dealing with outgoing post.
  • Telephone and face-to-face contact with all members of the Trust, taking messages and passing them on efficiently and dealing with enquiries.
  • Contribute to the scheduling and monitoring of Training Sessions and publishing them on the Training Booking portal in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the preparation and effective running of training sessions, ensuring that the Project Implementation and Training Officers are communicated to regularly regarding their training sessions and any updates that may arise e.g. Cancellations and Additions.
  • Using training databases/spread sheets and maintaining information systems to ensure that all information captured is kept up to date in a timely manner.
  • Treats everyone with equity and respect and ensures appropriate standards of behaviour are maintained within the service.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and assists in maintaining a safe working environment.

We supply digital services including Infrastructure Management, Cyber Security, a full range of 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line Technical Support Services, along with Professional and Transformation services including Project Management & Training teams. NHIS are a shared service hosted by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SFHFT) supporting Health and Care organisations across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS). We work collaboratively with our partner & customer organisations to help deliver their digital & transformational initiatives & strategies, providing expertise and knowledge gained through years of experience. We provide support to over 13,000 users at nearly 800 sites with around 150 internal dedicated staff. Our main aim is to help improve health and care services for citizens by working with organisations to improve the digital experience for the Health and Care workforce and for our local population, ultimately providing a data rich ICS with a focus on the sharing of information and interoperability.
