Job summary

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Medical Photographer to join our Clinical Illustration team.

The primary role is to actively participate in the effective and efficient maintenance of a comprehensive imaging and angiography service, which will include Ophthalmic imaging such as OCT, fundus, anterior segment, fluorescein angiography.

Main duties of the job

The main role of the candidate will be undertaking photographs of the medical phenomena of eye to document diseases, surgeries, treatments, and congenital problems, to aid ophthalmologists in diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. The post holder will also provide a wide range of clinical and non clinical photography and videography services across the trust.You will need to have a degree in photography and a medical photographic qualification. You will have proven experience in all aspects of ophthalmic and medical photography and be able to pay close and accurate attention to detail. Applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a small team with excellent communication skills.The successful candidate will carry out clinical photography on wards and in the studio, clinics, theatres, mortuary and also ophthalmic photography and public relations photography.You will also be highly computer literate, with experience of Adobe photoshop image manipulation, scanning and preparation of digital images.

The successful applicant must:

  • Have a high level of ophthalmic and medical photographic ability with proven track record
  • Hold a relevant degree or experience
  • Work flexibly over 3 sites - KMH, Ashfield Health Village & Newark.
