Job summary

This role will combine responsibilities from business intelligence, data analytics, operations analysis and digital leadership to support high-quality, data-driven decision-making within the Pharmacy Department. The post holder will serve as a digital and data systems lead, working closely with Pharmacy, Trust IT, and external suppliers to ensure robust pharmacy informatics infrastructure, high data quality, and innovative use of analytics, automation, and digital tools. The role is key to advancing the department's use of EPIC and other digital systems, embedding analytics into practice, and driving performance improvement through data.

Main duties of the job

Design and implement pharmacy performance dashboards and reporting tools using BI technologies and SQL-based solutions.

  • Collaborate with operational and clinical pharmacy teams to identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insight for stock optimisation, drug usage trends, risk management, and incident investigation.

  • Design and implement pharmacy performance dashboards and reporting tools using BI technologies and SQL-based solutions. Develop, maintain, and improve data quality frameworks across pharmacy systems, ensuring compliance with national and local standards.
  • Provide expert analysis of datasets including Rx-info, IQVIA, Define/Refine, and EPIC reports to inform operational and strategic decisions.
