King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
The closing date is 02 May 2025
Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which is a Major Trauma Centre and is part of King's Health Partners.
Princess Royal University Hospital, part of King's College University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Clinical Fellow to join our team in Orthopaedics.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will be part of a busy Orthopaedic Department and will be required to work as part of a team, including providing cover for annual leave and study leave. The post holder will be expected to share in the daily care of the inpatients, participate in fixed commitments in theatre and clinics, and become involved in audit and research. We work on a rota where at least 25% of the training sessions are protected training sessions in elective and trauma operating lists as well as elective orthopaedic and fracture clinics. This post will therefore suit junior doctors with or without prior orthopaedic experience who wish to enhance their surgical skills as well as gain further knowledge in the perioperative management of orthopaedic patients. There is regular departmental teaching, and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate teaching sessions.
