Main duties of the job

To provide specialist assessment skills to support the Occupational Therapy Service within the Department of Occupational Health & Wellbeing setting.

To facilitate improved work ability or the early and safe return to work of staff on sickness absence through phased return to work programmes and adjustments. To provide evidenced based treatments and clinical intervention for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. To teach and offer advice to colleagues and other members of the OH MDT regarding Occupational Therapy OH interventions.

To work as an autonomous and effective member of the Occupational Health (OH) team, communicating appropriately with patients (trust staff are patients' in OH), managers, human resource advisors and other team members as required.

Take a supportive role in assisting the Lead Occupational Therapist OH, in the daily delivery of clinical services as well as contributing to the development of staff Occupational Therapy service.

The post holder will work within the Occupational Health Department at King's College Hospital but may also be required to work on alternative sites (i.e. to complete work place assessments or cover other off-site clinics).
