Job summary
The Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Business Partner plays a vital role in embedding a culture of inclusivity and fairness within an acute hospital setting. This role ensures that the organisation proactively addresses systemic inequalities, enhances staff and patient experiences, and complies with legal and regulatory frameworks. Working in close collaboration with HR, leadership teams, and external stakeholders, the EDI Business Partner influences policies, practices, and cultural change to promote a more inclusive and equitable workplace.
Main duties of the job
The role holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation the EDI Roadmap by: -
EDI partnering a small number of care groups
Undertaking EDI projects
Supporting a staff network with planning and development on their work
Developing and delivering EDI training

The role holder will be allocated a specific staff network(s) to develop, grow and support.
Responsibilities within this area include: -
Developing project plans for the development of the Networks
Working with the Communications and Workforce teams to promote and engage with the staff network using a range of different methods
Providing regular progress reports to the EDI Delivery Group and other key stakeholders and following up on action items
Monitor finances associated to Network's and events

Scoping EDI issues and opportunities for Care Groups
Gathering data through listening events and surveys
Communicating the results and action planning from the listening events and surveys Monitoring and measuring progress of action plans

The role holder will be required to support the implementation of the EDI Roadmap by managing projects that include: -
Working collaboratively to ensure robust completion of Equality Risk Assessment Frameworks for policies and processes

- Lead, coach and manage the performance of an individual in line with good people management practices. Ensuring excellence is recognised and underperformance is addressed.
