Job summary

We are recruiting to two exciting apprenticeship roles within our Finance Department. These two trainee roles are; Assistant Management Accountant (Trainee) within our Financial Management Information & Analysis team and Finance Support Officer (Trainee) within our Financial Strategy & Planning team.

Main duties of the job

Assistant Management Accountant (Trainee)

The Assistant Management Accountant role will support the Financial Management Analysts to complete work in accordance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and internal office procedures, assist in the provision of financial support and advice to divisions and manage their own workload to ensure that monthly/weekly timescales are met.

Finance Support Officer (Trainee)

The Finance Support Officer will work in the Financial Planning and Investment team to support the delivery of the team and the Trust's objectives. They will assist in project and admin support for various strategic projects through to robust business case and investment processes. They will also be required to assist with supporting the day to day administrative functions of the Financial Planning and Investment team.

They will also be required to deal with telephone and email enquiries and taking the necessary action to ensure good communications, in an appropriate and confidential manner where required.

Both of these roles are trainee posts that require the post holder to commit to undertake a recognised professional finance qualification via the apprenticeship training programme, with the expectation that the post holder will learn and develop the foundations for a career within Finance whilst studying. Any Trust internal systems that require training will be delivered by the Trust on-site during working hours, and day-to-day training will be provided on the job through direct teaching, observation, simulation and practical application. Off the job learning is supported to take part in apprenticeship coursework workshops, reviews and one-to-ones with the apprenticeship tutor, in addition to taking part in learning and development through workshops, coursework completion and reviews with tutor/assessor.
