Job summary

The successful candidate will be a Highly Specialist Clinical Cardiac Physiologist with specialist skills in Echocardiography to full BSE accreditation standard. The post will provide access to train or advance in 3D echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echo and other specialist echocardiography services.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the provision of a quality echo service at Princess Royal University Hospital and when required at King's College Hospital.

To promote smooth efficient running of the Cardiology Diagnostic Service

To provide teaching and support to other members of the department learning echocardiography and all other areas of Cardiology.

To work co-operatively and collaboratively with members of other professions and disciplines, ensuring the provision of a progressive learning environment for all staff.

To contribute to the professional leadership of the technical staff within the Non-Invasive Cardiac Department

To actively encourage and develop a multidisciplinary approach to Cardiac Care.
