Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Dermatology team at Beckenham Beacon to provide exceptional care for patients with various skin conditions. We're seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our fast-paced department.

Following a period of induction and training, you will support patients through their journey with us, support our clinicians in the smooth running of outpatient clinics, plan and deliver nurse led therapies and assist with surgical procedures.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a key member in relation to the development of practice in the Dermatology team. They will be working independently / autonomously and at times without direct supervision, accountable for their own professional working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of family integrated care principles.

  • Working as part of the Dermatology Team to assist in the smooth daily running of the department.
  • Nurse led clinics including, Skin surgery, Light Therapy. Photodynamic Therapy, Wound Care and Iontophoresis.
  • Educating patients regarding their Dermatology condition.
  • Scrub Nurse duties, assisting with skin surgery.
  • Supporting Consultant, Doctor and nurse led clinics.
  • Ensuring patients / carers and visitors are supported throughout their visit to Dermatology.
