Job summary
This is a key role within the General & Adult Medicine departments and Site Operational Management Team and provides support in the delivery of medical staffing related activities. The post holder will work closely with Medical Staffing Managers in all Resourcing tasks relating to the management of substantive staff, as well as the Clinical Leads and Directors in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in these areas.
The nature of the job requires the post-holder to deal with confidential and sensitive information related to staff. The post-holder will ensure this information is kept confidential and secure in line with Trust policies.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of medical rotas within the care group, ensuring safe and effective rostering and responding to queries relating to leave, locums, induction, sickness and working hours. This will include the on-going management of the out of hours and on call rotas for General/Speciality Medicine and Adult Medicine Medical Team. We are advertising 2 band 4 posts for General/Speciality Medicine and Adult Medicine services.
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably in HR, Rota management or Medical Staffing. You will be highly organised with the ability to work on your own initiative and have experience of learning fast and using management information systems. You will be customer (your customers will be doctors and consultants) and patient focused with the ability to think calmly and logically under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have a positive attitude to maintaining high standards at all times.
